Seeking volunteers

Cambridge Solidarity Fund redistributes wealth among the residents of this city, which is known to be one of the most unequal in the UK. We help those who are in financial crisis – perhaps waiting for Universal Credit, unemployed due to the pandemic, or simply in work and still struggling to make ends meet. You are the best judge of your own needs, and you can apply for a no-strings-attached grant of up to £50 to help yourself to meet those needs.

We are always seeking donations of any amount - your gift will go directly to someone in Cambridge for whom £50 could make all the difference this month. People have used our grants to cover heating their homes, buying a warm coat, travelling to see family members at Christmas, and all kinds of essential things that might not be covered by charity grants where spending is carefully regulated or ringfenced to certain kinds of cost.
